Q.1. Why did Sushilchandra’s neighbours get angry with him ?
Ans. Sushil was not so well behaved. He would keep playing pranks. It irritated his neighbour.

Q.2.Why did the Lady of Wishes grant wishes to both the father and son?
Ans. Both the father and son felt unhappy in their present states. The father wished he were a child again. The son wished he were as old as his father. The lady of Wishes granted their wishes. She wanted to see what would happen if they got their wishes.

Q.3. What changes took place in Sushil?
Ans. Sushil had grown up overnight. His clothes had burst  at the seams. His face was covered with grey stubbles of bread. He had become bald also. He did not feel like getting up from his bed.

Q.4. What happened to Subal Chandra after his wish was granted?
Ans. Subal had now become very small. He had got back all his teeth. His bread and moustache were gone. He clothes were now too big for his small body.

Ans. A group of old men used to gather in Sushil's room to play chess. Subal was kept busy so that he could not come and disturb the elders in their game of chess. Sushil hired a tutor to keep Subal quiet at that time . The tutor kept Subal busy till ten at night.

Ans. Subal was not at all happy with the change . He used to imagine that if he were a child again, he would spend all his time in studying. But now he hated  going to school. Sometimes he would imagine he was as old as before . He would join old men playing cards or chess . They would then box his ears and say . " Run away and play."

Ans. Both the father and thebson started bahaving as they always did. The father started bossing over his child, and the child started making excuses. Subal said to Sushil," Aren't you going to start learning your grammar?" Sushil replied, " Father! I have lost my book."
